Tell Me True: Stories from the Street

This dropdown features the twice monthly postings of Baltimore freelance writer Heather Leah Huddleston.  For three years, Heather has been one of Open Door Baltimore’s best friends, volunteering countless hours to lead creative writing workshops for our workforce development clients.  Heather has an amazing ability to reach hurting people living on the edge — she is easily one of Open Door Baltimore’s most beloved instructors.  An accomplished essayist and novelist, Heather will be posting stories on 12 clients and their families as they spend 2012 engaged in our construction employment partnership with TRF Development Partners.  An affordable housing organization, TRF DP is a national leader in building beautiful affordable housing for low income families.  TRF DP is currently building homes in the Oliver neighborhood of East Baltimore.  We believe Heather’s stories will become the most widely-read section of this website in 2012.
